The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has appointed Malcolm X College President David Sanders to serve on its Commission on International Education. This is a three-year appointment that runs from November 2025 through October 2028.
The Commission plays a key role in advancing HACU’s mission to expand international education opportunities for students attending member institutions in the United States and abroad. Members advise on global programs, partnerships, events, and strategies that promote cross-cultural learning and academic exchange. This appointment is a natural fit given that Malcolm X’s study abroad program has already taken students to Europe and Africa so far.
“I’m honored to join this national group of educators committed to creating unique learning experiences that prepare our students for success in an interconnected world,” said President Sanders. “At Malcolm X College and across City Colleges of Chicago, we’re focused on ensuring our students have access to opportunities that broaden their perspectives and open doors to new possibilities.”

Congratulations to President Sanders on this achievement and for representing Malcolm X College and City Colleges of Chicago on a national stage.
