Five City Colleges students and alumni have been selected as 2026 Apprentice Ambassadors by the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board (IWIB) Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship (WBLA) Committee. This statewide honor recognizes the following outstanding apprentices who are helping shape the future of Illinois’ workforce.

• Beril Mese – Allstate, tech apprentice and Wilbur Wright College student
• Christian Rodriguez – German American Chamber of Commerce, business apprentice, Harold Washington College alumnus
• Ashley Sosa – Allstate, tech apprentice, Harold Washington College alumnus
• Elian Aguilar – McDonald’s, cybersecurity apprentice, Richard J. Daley College student
• John Williams – Accenture, Senior Analyst, Information Technology,  Wilbur Wright College alumnus

In this role, the ambassadors will share their experiences and provide feedback as apprentices, serve as apprenticeship advocates, and mentor current and future apprentices. Ambassadors serve in this capacity for one year.
