Project S.A.F.E. and Resilience will be hosting "How to Talk to Children in Your Life About Consent." The final training in our We Keep Us S.A.F.E. professional development series for the Spring 2026 semester.
This training is designed for parents, caregivers, and professionals who want to confidently talk with children about consent in developmentally appropriate ways. Participants will deepen their understanding of bodily autonomy, boundaries, and respectful communication across different ages and stages. The session builds on foundational strategies—such as modeling consent and using everyday teachable moments—to provide practical tools for navigating questions and addressing concerning behaviors. Using a trauma-informed and prevention-focused lens, attendees will strengthen their ability to foster safe, open dialogue. Ultimately, this training equips adults to not only protect children, but to empower them to understand and practice consent in all areas of their lives.
