Join Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot’s Office, City Colleges Chancellor Juan Salgado, and Life Span for the launch of Project S.A.F.E., a new district-wide initiative to improve how City Colleges prevents and responds to gender-based violence.

Project S.A.F.E. aims to promote equity in education by reducing barriers to educational access for those affected by gender-based violence. Through a compassionate and intersectional approach, the initiative is focused on survivor safety, empowerment, and healing.

Event attendees will learn about the City of Chicago’s City-wide Strategic Plan and how Project S.A.F.E. will leverage prevention education and survivor services to advance the City’s commitment to violence prevention. Additionally, leaders will discuss how the project aims to serve as a lifeline for student-survivors in communities across Chicago that are disproportionately affected by violence.
