As stated in the Native American Haudenosaunee confederation’s "Great Law of Peace", the Seventh Generation Principle asks us to consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations of people in every choice we make.
This way of thinking encourages decision-making that looks beyond short-term benefits. Instead, it helps us make decisions that will have a positive impact on the faces that have yet to come. It asks us to take into consideration the land, water, plants, animals, and people before we make major decisions.
What is your commitment to the next seven generations? Join us to learn more about this decision-making process and document your commitment.
This event is part of a larger celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
