Do terms like software, hardware, megabytes, gigabytes, and modems make any sense to you? If not, this is the place for you. Conquer your fear of computers in this beginner’s class. You will learn the components of the systems and how to boot up and shut down the computer, develop mouse skills, understand the use of media storage, files, folders, icons, software, accessory programs, operating systems, and sizing and moving windows. You’ll also create an e-mail account and learn how to use and search the internet. The classes is offered in different languages at different locations: Humboldt Park Campus: 1645 N California Ave in English and Spanish Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., January 21 to March 25, 2023 AND Wilbur Wright Main Campus: 4300 N Narragansett Ave in English, Arabic and French Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., February 1 to April 19, 2023 |
