Margie
For years, Margie hoped to earn her GED. At one point, she enrolled at Richard J. Daley College, but like many adult learners balancing responsibilities, she had to put her education on hold.
For Adolfo Ramirez, the Panther Pride scholarship is more than financial assistance—it’s a stepping stone toward his dreams. Adolfo is a proud South Sider and first-generation American who is entering his second year at Olive-Harvey College, where he is pursuing an associate degree in business/economics.
With the support of the Panther Pride scholarship, an award for Olive-Harvey College students administered by the City Colleges of Chicago Foundation, Adolfo is building the foundation for his future. After completing his associate degree, he plans to transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree in business management. His ultimate goal is to become the CEO or president of a company.
“My educational pursuits would not be possible without the generous support from this scholarship,” said Adolfo.
