After Dennis Wells graduated from Chicago Vocational High School, he headed to Kennedy-King College, where he starred on the gridiron. After earning a National Junior College Athletic Association All American honorable mention and receiving his associate degree in 1972, he moved to Ohio to continue his football career at Xavier University. Dennis eventually graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Central State University (OH) in 1975.
After a stint in the Air Force and many years as a bank examiner in Chicago, Dennis, 70, is enjoying well-earned retirement.
